Personal Biography
Landon Zientara is a local film director, music composer, writer, and producer of digital media who serves as the President at Guild of Keepers.
His works include original short films, concert music, and music scores for various feature films, shorts, commercials, and theater productions.
Zientara is passionate about telling important stories and inspiring others. While teaching and mentoring at Composers Institute, Zientara spends his time creating opportunities for young composers and filmmakers in the Midwest who strive to pave unique career paths of their own.
In addition to work for narrative film and theater, he is known for his recent work on political campaigns for clients partnered with Eye Contact Media, including those for Minnesota Judge Timothy Mulrooney, MN Representative Ginny Klevorn, Colorado Senator Janet Buckner, CO Representative Gretchen Rydin, CO Representative Amy Paschal, and others.
Zientara conceptualized Guild of Keepers to tell help individuals bring their own stories to life through unique mediums, such as original films, new instrumental and electronic music, visual art, fiction novels, and original dance repertoire.
Aphelion is a groundbreaking dark ambient music project, telling the primordial history of our amazing universe through seventeen tracks composed by Landon Zientara. In 2024, Landon composed an original score for the Traveling Avalanche Studios feature film, My Hometown Hero, written directed by Trevor Shannon. Its theatrical release was in November 2024.
Serving as sound designer and music director UWRF Masquers' theater production of Dracula (2025), Landon composed an original score to accompany the play on stage, which now available for listening on YouTube.
In 2025, Landon composed an original score for the short web series, Spector Inspectors, directed by Sophie Burke, executive board member of Screen Door Films. Landon collaborated closely with the show's editors and animators to produce a score that supported the narrative on screen. In 2024, Landon collaborated with Dr. Kathy Welch for UWRF’s musical stage production of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. He had so much fun taking on the challenge as the music composer and director for the production. Prior to any rehearsals of our adaptation of the play, he was instructed not only to prepare a number of pre-recorded tracks to underscore action and transitions, but also to write original songs that would be performed live by the musicians and actors on stage. The ensemble would include vocalists, percussionists, a flute, cello, and guitar.
The Conduit is an original analog horror film by Landon Zientara. The footage was found on November 19, 2025 and handed off to be produced and archived by the Guild of Keepers. The film premiered at the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building in December 2025 as a portion of the Music & Stage and Screen Department’s winter music composition showcase.
